Background

For some time there has been a need for an ActivityStreams Validator. This page captures the purpose, goals, criteria, tasks, and owners of the ActivityStreams Validator project.

Purpose

An Activity Streams validator would facilitate the creation of compliant and well-formed feeds in order to advance the state of industry interoperability.

Goals

To develop a validator for ActivityStreams feeds that reports errors, warnings, and other incompatibilities or inconsistencies in generated output.
